Learn the healing and revitalizing effects of waking before the sun for pranayama and meditation sadhana (spiritual practice). This training is open to anyone wanting to gain the discipline and benefits of an early morning meditation practice.
Training meets Thursday-Monday 5:45-7:45AM and 11:00AM-5:00PM
Each morning we will begin with an experiential guided pranayama and meditation experience. The practices will build upon each making sunrise sadhana a familiar habit. The afternoon sessions will begin with a chakra yoga practice and yoga nidra. The afternoons are dedicated to discussing the science, benefits and teaching methodology of pranayama and meditation. Julie Rader has been meditating and studying the mind for 30 years and has been teaching these methods for two decades. She believes her personal daily practice makes her a better teacher, mother and human. This elective is not only for teachers, but for anyone wanting to experience energy, joy and mental clarity.
In the Pranayama/Meditation module you will experience:
1-2 hours of early morning meditation and pranayama: Yoga Nidra meditation, Ajapa Ajapa meditaiton, Antar Mon mediation, Mala/mantra meditation, Trataka meditation, Chidakasha Dharana meditation, Kapalabhati pranayama, Nadi Shodona pranayama, Bhastrika pranayama, Bhramari pranayama, Maha bandha, Agnisar Kriya, Nauli Kriya, 5 Tibetans, Chakra chanting and balancing, Classical yoga program, Chakra yoga practices, Mudras, Science of pranayama & meditation, Benefits of pranayama & meditation, How to create a personal sadhana, How to teach pranayama & meditation.
