Julie is passionate about teaching young athletes to reach their highest potential by training their minds. Mental agility is what sets elite athletes apart. Julie combines her deep knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology and the game of soccer to curate sessions to the needs of the athletes. Her greatest role in life is being a mom to Samson and Olina.

for SOCCER PLAYERS

soccer specific yoga practices and mental imagery sessions

Each session will be tailored to the needs of the athletes, such as deep stretching and recovery after tournaments and dynamic conditioning during pre-season. When working with individual teams, Julie will communicate with the coach to determine the needs of the team. Before tournaments or big games, the mental imagery will we geared towards preparing the minds for success. 

For example, Julie prepared the US women’s team prior to two World Cup championships and Olympic gold medals by leading detailed meditations to envision the desired outcome. 

Sessions offered as a clinic for individual teams or for individual players.

⭐️ Additional Guided visualizations for bedtime, pregame, technical and tactical and big life goals 

⭐️ Each week focuses on a different topic:

Week 1: Goal setting

Week 2: Emotional Regulation and breathwork techniques for games

Week 3: Pregame mentality

Week 4: Practice and training discipline and mentality

Week 5: Tap into your fire

Week 6: Focus and settle scattered energy

Week 7: Staying motivated

Week 8: Bounce back after a setback - loss or injury

Julie has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1999. With a master degree in Exercise Physiology and a bachelor in Psychology she has a deep understanding of the mind body connection. Julie spent 10 years teaching yoga to the US Women’s soccer team, US Women’s indoor volleyball team and Men’s and Women’s US sprint cycling team as well as several professional hockey, basketball, football and beach volleyball players. She has owned 2 successful yoga studios in Manhattan Beach and has a yoga teacher training school which has certified hundreds of yoga teachers worldwide.

 

Julie was a High School All City goal keeper, A national champion gymnast, a two sport collegiate  athlete as an All American springboard diver and soccer Defensive MVP for Union College in Kentucky. She is passionate about teaching young athletes to reach their highest potential by training their minds. I loved working with Julie with some of my teammates with the US National Soccer Team. When we are training hard for soccer, our bodies can get tight and our minds can get busy.
